SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES MANAGER 020 <br />Page 2 <br />5. Reviews departmental administrative procedures and recommends changes. Develops process <br />for change implementation. <br /> <br />6. Prepares varied and complex reports, assembles or supervises the assembly of data for regular <br />and recurring reports related to services of the department; researches issues; develops new <br />reports to meet department needs. <br /> <br />7. Prepares and administers department contracts for services, monitors contracts for compliance. <br /> <br />8. Monitors grants for correct reporting of expenditures, prepares necessary financial reports <br />related to grants, assures compliance with grant requirements <br /> <br />9. Selects, trains, coaches, evaluates and disciplines assigned staff; assigns and reviews work. <br /> <br />10. Provides support to various projects at the direction of the manager or department head; <br />performs other duties as assigned. <br /> <br />RECRUITING REQUIREMENTS <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY: <br /> <br /> <br />Considerable knowledge of the methods and practices of supervision and the ability to carry them out. <br />Considerable knowledge of effective office practices. Ability to supervise other individuals, train <br />employees and effectively utilize available human resources. Ability to prepare budget and utilize <br />accounting procedures. Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form. Ability to <br />form effective working relationships with department heads and other county personnel. <br /> <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1.Two years of college course work in business administration, accounting, social sciences or <br />AND <br />related work; <br /> <br /> <br />2. <br />Four years of progressively responsible experience in office administration and budget <br />preparation and coordination; AND two years of supervisory experience (may be concurrent); <br />OR <br /> <br /> <br />3.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training which <br />demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ADOPTED: 02/05 <br />REVISED: <br />MR: 2/05; 07/13 <br />
