The subdivision was surveyed by H.C. Tillman. He
says in his surveyor's certificate, "all lot corners are marked with iron pipes."
Iron pipes were found at the two north corners and accepted as original
monuments. Reel 4038, Page 110 does not call for monuments at the tract's
southerly corners; however, the distances in the deed matches a 1937 survey
by J.V. Fryberger, Survey No 8494. The southerly adjoining property is
described in Reel 3737, Page 436. The legal description for that tract of land
calls for iron rods and matching Fryberger's distances. Current
measurements to the found monuments are well within the standards of
practice for 1937, which I have observed for many surveys of that some
period. Therefore, I accept Fryberger's monuments for the south line. The
easterly one—third of the south line was marked with wooden stakes at about
ten—foot intervals.
1/2" I.P.
[TILLMAN, PLAT]
o
QQ
rn
z.
VL
.V' o
LOPEZ
REEL
3642, PAGE 115
LOT
4, BLOCK 15,
s
SUBDIVISION
OF BLOCKS 14
z IN
SALEM, ORE.
1/2" I.R.
[FRYBERGER, 8494]
REGISTERED
PROFESSIONAL
LAND SURVEYOR
OREGON
JULY 25, 1990
JAMES S.
