5/8—inch iron rod at the northwest corner set on MCSR 9030 and the
1/2—inch iron pipes set at the southwest corner of Lot 10 and the southwest
corner of Lot 8 on the plat of Turner Heights. The northeast corner of Lot 1
was established at the intersection of this line with the west line of Turner
Memorial Park that was used as the base bearing. Block A of Turner Memorial
Park, comprises most of the area that will now be Lots 2 through 9 of Carter
Addition. The north line of Block A was parallel with all of the other east—west
lines in the lots to the north in Blocks 2 and 3 of Turner Memorial Park.
Applying a method of least squares determined that five of the seven 5/8—inch
iron rods found, as shown, for the various lot corners in Blocks 2 and 3 of
Turner Memorial Park would be within tolerance if the bearing for all of the
east—west lines was rotated clockwise by 0' 02' 41". The northeast corner of
Lot 3, Block 2 was found out of true position as shown, as was the northeast
corner of Lot 1, Block 3. The bearing of the north—south lines in Blocks 2 and
3 remained as platted. The north lines of Lots 2, 7, 8, and 9, along with the
east—west extension of Cedar Place (a private street and utility easement),
were established along the north lines of Block A of Turner Memorial Park and
monuments were set, as shown. The northeast corner of Lot 7 was established
at the intersection of this north line with a line established at the record
bearing running northerly from the 5/8—inch iron rod with a yellow plastic cap
found, as shown, that was set on Turner Memorial Park at the southeast corner
of Block A. A tree at the true position of the southwest corner of Lot 9
necessitated the setting of two off—set reference monuments, as shown. All
other lot corners were set as necessary to establish the proposed lots approved
by holding the 5/8—inch iron rod with a yellow plastic cap found, as shown, at
the southeast corner of Block A of Turner Memorial Park and the west line of
said Block A using the monuments described, above, for the establishment of the
base bearing. Large boulders at the true position of the southwest and
southeast corners of Lot 5 necessitated the setting of two off—set reference
monuments at each corner, as shown. The east side of Lot 1, that is the plat
boundary was established by extending the base bearing line south to the
intersection of the centerline of Mill Creek. Neither the axle, shown on MCSR
8597, nor the axle with an iron pipe monument shown on MCSR 10750 and
Turner Heights S15-008 were found on the line near the north bank of Mill Creek.
A reference monument was set on line on the north bank of the creek, as shown.
The west line of Lot 1 was established by turning a record angle off the north
line and setting a monument at the angle point at the distance established for
Lot 20 of Turner Heights. At the angle point a second record angle was turned
based on said Lot 20, and the line extended the record distance of 100.00 feet.
A reference monument was set on line on the north bank of the creek, as shown.
The interior monuments were set tocreate the Lots requested by the owner. The
west line of Lot 2 was established to provide a required minimum building setback
dimension from the existing dwelling on said lot.
The west line of Lot 3 was established to provide Prepared by.
