The northeast corner of Lot 1 was established at the intersection of this line with the west line of Turner Memorial Park that was used as the base bearing. Block A of Turner Memorial Park, comprises most of the area that will now be Lots 2 through 9 of Carter Addition. The north line of Block A was parallel with all of the other east—west lines in the lots to the north in Blocks 2 and 3 of Turner Memorial Park. Applying a method of least squares determined that five of the seven 5/8—inch iron rods found, as shown, for the various lot corners in Blocks 2 and 3 of Turner Memorial Park would be within tolerance if the bearing for all of the east—west lines was rotated clockwise by 0' 02' 41".
