<br />THE PURPOSE OF THIS SURVEY WAS TO VISIT THE 114 CORNER COMMON TO
<br />SECTION 14 AND SECTION 15 AFTER THE BEACHIE CREEK FIRE. ALSO TO LOCATE
<br />AND VERIFY ITS REFERENCES REPORTED IN BLM FIELD NOTES, VOL OR R0618, PAGE
<br />170-171. THE CORNER WAS RE-MONUMENTED IN 1976, AS PER THE BLM FIELD
<br />NOTES ABOVE.
<br />RECORDS RESEARCH WAS PERFORMED IN THE MARION COUNTY SURVEYOR'S OFFICE
<br />TO OBTAIN ALL FILED SURVEYS AND FIELD NOTES CONTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT
<br />THIS CORNER. A FIELD SEARCH WAS MADE TO LOCATE ALL PHYSICAL EVIDENCE OF
<br />THIS CORNER AND ITS ACCESSORIES. THE MONUMENT SET IN THE BLM FIELD NOTES
<br />WAS FOUND IN GOOD CONDITION. FOUR NEW REFERENCES WERE SET AT THIS TIME.
<br />THE BASIS OF BEARINGS 1S BETWEEN THE 3" BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT BRASS
<br />CAP, MARKING THE WEST 114 CORNER OF SECTION 14 AND THE EAST 114 OF
<br />SECTION 15, TO THE REFERENCE [5] WHICH IS A FIR 12" DIAMETER SCRIBED "1/4
<br />S14 BT." BEARING WAS DETERMINED BY USING A HAND COMPASS WITH DECLINATION
<br />SET TO 15' EAST.
<br />EQUIPMENT.
<br />A LEICA NOVA MS50 MULTISTATION WITH AN ANGULAR RESOLUTION OF ONE SECOND,
<br />HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL, DISTANCE TO 2 MILLIMETERS +/- 2 PARTS PER MILLION
<br />WAS USED FOR SETTING NEW REFERENCE MONUMENTS. A HAND COMPASS WITH
<br />DECLINATION SET TO 15' EAST WAS USED FOR VERIFYING BEARINGS OF EXISTING
<br />ACCESSORIES AND FOR BASIS OF BEARINGS. A 12' POCKET TAPE WAS USED FOR
<br />VERIFYING DISTANCE TO EXISTING ACCESSORY.
