Marion County
 `. OREGON
PUBLIC WORKS
June 28, 2021
(503)588-5036
Leon and Roger Kuenzi
PO Box 9026
BOARD OF Brooks, OR 97305
COMMISSIONERS
Kevin Cameron CC: Josh Hansen, OR Sewer and Drain
Sam Brentano
Colm Willis RE: Proposed major repair permit no. 555-21-006449 at 7964 Labish Center Rd
DIRECTOR NE Salem
Brian Nicholas, P.E.
Dear Leon and Roger,
ADMINISTRATION
I have evaluated test pits at the above referenced property for the purpose of
BUILDING your major repair application, my findings are below:
INSPECTION
Approved Area &System Type
EMERGENCY Soil test pits and other site features were evaluated during the site visit on June
MANAGEMENT 28, 2021. Conditions observed during this site evaluation indicate that the area
around the evaluated test holes is capable of supporting a standard septic
ENGINEERING system for this major repair, and 375 linear ft of drainline will need to be installed
at a depth 18-26 inches equal distribution, which may require the use of a
ENVIRONMENTAL hydrosplitter. Alternately, if existing grade permits, the system may be installed at
SERVICES 24-26 inches using serial distribution. The existing trees must be removed in the
area of the proposed system or the lines must be installed in between the rows.
OPERATIONS Please see attached field notes and map for conditional approval details.
PARKS This repair site approval is for a system designed to serve a single family dwelling
with a maximum of 2 bedrooms. Peak sewage flow into the system is limited to a
PLANNING maximum of 450 gallons per day, with an average sewage flow of not more than
225 gallons per day. Premature failure of the treatment system may occur if
SURVEY either of these flow quantities is exceeded. If, for some reason, you expect your
domestic household water use may exceed these flows, it is advisable to
increase the size of the treatment system.
Where to go from here:
An updated plot plan and materials list must be submitted. Please contact me if
you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter. I can be reached at
503-566-3990 with any questions
Sincerely
Robert Goodwin, REHS
Marion County Onsite Wastewater Specialist
5155 Silverton Road NE•Salem,OR 97305-3802• www.co.marion.or.us/PW
Printed on recycled paper• Reduce—Reuse—Recycle-Recover
