PLACED A <br />ORANGE DEEP-1 MAGNET 3' FROM STUMP IN <br />LINE WITH MONUMENT, DOWN 0.6'. <br />BLM FIELD NOTES, VOL OR R0618, PG 171-172 <br />S 890 W 42.9' <br />(S 89' W 65 LKS BLM FIELD <br />NOTES, VOL OR R0666, PG 17) <br />.0 <br />NARRATIVE <br />THE PURPOSE OF THIS SURVEY WAS TO VISIT THE SECTION CORNER COMMON TO <br />SECTIONS 10, 11, 14, AND 15 AFTER THE BEACHIE CREEK FIRE. ALSO TO LOCATE <br />AND VERIFY ITS ACCESSORIES REPORTED IN BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT (BLM) <br />FIELD NOTES, VOL OR R0666, PG 17, WHICH ARE BURNT STUMPS AND BURNT <br />TREES STILL STANDING. ONE NEW ACCESSORY WAS ESTABLISHED. THE CORNER WAS <br />RE-MONUMENTED BY TUERS IN 1976 AND VISITED BY BLM IN 1993. <br />RECORDS RESEARCH WAS PERFORMED IN THE MARION COUNTY SURVEYOR'S OFFICE <br />TO OBTAIN ALL FILED SURVEYS AND FIELD NOTES CONTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT <br />THIS CORNER. A FIELD SEARCH WAS MADE TO LOCATE ALL PHYSICAL EVIDENCE OF <br />THIS CORNER AND ITS ACCESSORIES. THE MONUMENT SET IN THE BLM FIELD NOTES <br />MENTIONED ABOVE, WAS FOUND IN GOOD CONDITION. FIVE ACCESSORIES WERE <br />FOUND. TWO BURNT STUMPS, ONE BADLY DECAYED; THREE DEAD BURNT TREES <br />STANDING AND SOLID. <br />THE BASIS OF BEARINGS IS BETWEEN THE 3" DIAMETER BUREAU OF LAND <br />MANAGEMENT BRASS CAP MARKING THE SECTION CORNER OF SECTION 10, 11, 14, <br />AND 15, TO ACCESSORY 1873[1] WHICH IS A 40" DIAMETER BURNT DEAD STANDING <br />SOLID FIR. BEARING WAS DETERMINED BY USING A HAND COMPASS WITH DECLINATION <br />SET TO 16° EAST AND DISTANCE WAS DETERMINED BY 200' CLOTH TAPE MEASURED <br />TO ESTIMATED SIDE CENTER OF TREE. <br />EQUIPMENT. <br />A HAND COMPASS WITH DECLINATION SET TO 16' EAST WAS USED FOR BASIS OF <br />BEARINGS AND VERIFYING EXISTING AND NEW ACCESSORIES.
