The <br /> use of tarps or similar material for emergency repair shall be temporary, <br /> and not exceed six months in any 12 month period, except for use during <br /> construction in association with a building permit, or as a requirement <br /> included in a lawfully served Dangerous Building notice as described in <br /> SRC 56.200-56.270. <br /> Deterioration: A lowering in the quality, condition or appearance of a <br /> building or structure, characterized by holes, breaks, rot, crumbling, <br /> cracking, peeling, rusting or any other evidence of physical decay, <br /> neglect, excessive use or lack of maintenance. <br /> 50.540 WINDOWS Every window, door and frame shall be kept in sound condition, good <br /> AND DOORS repair and weather tight. Where windows and doors have been sealed by <br /> plastic or other materials for weather proofing, said materials shall be <br /> maintained in a skilled manner. Window and door screens, while not <br /> required by this chapter, shall be maintained in a skilled manner. <br /> 50.605 ORDER TO (a) If the Health Officer finds a building or structure in violation of SRC <br /> VACATE BUILDINGS 50.600, the Health Officer may order that a placard be posted on the <br /> OR STRUCTURES building or structure, ordering the building or structure vacated, and to <br /> order the owner to register the building or structure as provided in SRC <br /> 50.625 - 50.634.
