The intense fire that caused significant damaged to major structural components could <br /> cause complete or partial collapse of the building. This includes and is not limited to the <br /> roof, roofing systems, flooring and other structural components. <br /> #2 [SRC 56.215(b)(5)] When any part is likely to fail, detach, or collapse and injure <br /> persons or damage property. <br /> The roof, roofing systems, flooring and other structural components affected by the <br /> intense fire could cause portions of the systems or other building materials to fail, de- <br /> tach, or collapse and injure persons or damage property. <br /> #3 [SRC 56.215(b)(9)] When the building or structure, or any portion thereof, is <br /> manifestly unsafe for the purpose for which it is being used. <br /> Due to the extensive fire, water damage and damage from fire suppression efforts all <br /> the rooms and other portions of the building affected are no longer usable for the pur- <br /> poses they were being used and are manifestly unsafe. <br /> #4 SRC 56.215(b)(11)] When damage from fire, wind, earthquake, or flood, or dilapidation <br /> or deterioration <br /> The extensive damage caused as a result of the fire that was of such intensity to make <br /> the components affected to not meet minimum code and could cause further dilapida- <br /> tion or deterioration of the building is in violation of all applicable codes. <br /> #5 [SRC 56.215(b)(18)] When the Building Official has determined the building or <br /> structure, or any portion thereof, is structurally inadequate to perform the functions for <br /> which it was intended, based upon the Building Code or any other applicable standard <br /> relating to construction or building safety. <br /> The fire that was of such an intensity causing significant damage to the building making <br /> it manifestly unsafe and no longer adequate to perform the functions per the building <br /> code and other applicable codes or standards per the Building Official. <br /> CONCLUSION <br /> The said building has been determined by the Building Official to be unsafe due to the unstable <br /> structural condition(s) found upon inspection. The building is declared to be a dangerous <br /> building and a public nuisance due to the above-listed violations. <br /> COMPLIANCE REQUIRED <br /> While it is the City's preference that you correct the violation/s by the above date and time, <br /> failure to comply may result in the issuance of an infraction citation with a bail of up to $250.00 <br /> per day. Additionally, a civil penalty may be assessed with a daily penalty to be determined by <br /> Page 2 of 10: Enforcement Order to Abate <br />
