Onsite Permit 555-21-000404-PRMT-01 Page 2 of 3
Schedule or track inspections at www.buildingpermits.oregon.gov
Call or text the word "schedule" to 1-888-299-2821 use IVR Number:555089410530
Schedule using the Oregon ePermitting Inspection App, search "epermitting"in the app store
Date issued: 1/25/21 Expiration date: 1/25/22
Work description: FIRE-AUTH MIN REP: COMMERCIAL 3 EMPLOYEES
Conditions of approval
Marion County records show the existing septic system serving this property was installed 2/28/06. The system
was located by Dennis Bethel on and evaluated by this office on 11/20/21 and found to be not currently failing
and the replacement building will allow for a 5 ft setback from the proposed building to the tank and 10 ft
setback from the building to the drainfield. The systems consists of a 1000 gallon concrete combo tank and
appears to be water tight based on level of effluent in tank. The drainfield for this system measures 125 linear
feet.A new plot plan has been created showing that the proposed home will meet setbacks to the drainfield.A
tank riser will need to be installed and the very end of the drainline closest to the building has been trenched
through, bentonite will need to be added to this area so that effluent does not seep into electrical conduit trench.
This parcel was involved in the 2020 Beachie Creek Fire and the house was destroyed, it appears that septic
drainfield was not damaged by the fire, however the riser was and funds will be transferred to a minor repair
permit.
There is no increase in flow to the system as there was a commercial building serving no greater than 10
employees and consist of the same use. This authorization will be approved when the repairs have been done
THE APPROVED SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic including
construction vehicles, livestock activities. Other activities such as logging, excavating or filling, driveway
placement or any similar activities may also damage the soil in the area and adversely affect the septic system
approval. The areas of the initial septic system and the future repair system must both be protected.
The septic tank should be pumped and inspected by a licensed septic tank pumping service approximately
every five(5)years. The septic tank is a reservoir for the solid materials in the sewage waste stream.
Excessive accumulation of these solid materials in the septic tank will cause the solids to wash out of the tank
and into the drainfield. This will cause irreversible damage to the drainfield and will eventually lead to a system
failure.
1/25/21:2:12:27PM Page 2 of 3 ONS_OnsitePermit_pr
