Robert Goodwin
From: Robert Goodwin
Sent: Monday, October 31, 2022 10:09 AM
To: Brian Ricketts
Cc: dr.tom@canbyvet.com
Subject: RE: Open Door Community Church sewer use
Attachments: Table 2.pdf; S-60 Materials List.docx
Hi Brian,
I have finished my review of the application. The church septic system was originally permitted at 250 occupants, which
equates to 1500 gallons per day(OAR 340-071-0220 table 2, attached). In general we can permit up to a 50% increase
without requiring a new system, which would be an additional 625 GPD. Day cares are sized per table 2 at 15
gallons/person/day, so this would mean up to 41 people could be permitted.
However, the presence of the lift station pumping to the septic tank per OAR 340-071-0220(3)(d)(A) means that the
septic tank is required to have two compartments, with an effluent filter on the outlet of the tank. With an existing
single compartment tank, the way to comply with this rule would be to install an additional septic tank with an effluent
filter after the existing tank. This can be done under a minor alteration permit, since we have an open septic application
already there is no need to reapply or pay an additional fee. We just need an updated site plan showing the tank and a
completed materials list (attached). Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
`` Robert Goodwin, REHSI Onsite Wastewater Specialist II
Pmnours:He,Him,His
Crion Ba iidirr Inspection,Marion County Public Works
' ta rgoodwin@co.marion.or.us
0 R E C 0 \ Tr(503) 566-3990(office)
From: Brian Ricketts<brian.c.ricketts@gmail.com>
Sent:Thursday, October 27, 2022 10:47 AM
To: Robert Goodwin <RGoodwin@co.marion.or.us>
Subject: Re: Open Door Community Church sewer use
You don't often get email from brian.c.ricketts@gmail.com.Learn why this is important
0 WARNING:This email originated outside of Marion County.
DO NOT CLICK links or attachments unless you trust the sender and know the content is safe.
Hi.
