Conditions <br /> observed around the test pits are approved for a STANDARD system for the alteration <br /> and. Please submit a plot plan showing the installation of this additional drainline to the <br /> existing system and all materials that will be used. The existing tank may be used but <br /> must have a riser to grade added and be put on a 24 hour watertight test, an <br /> additional 500 gallon tank will need to be installed to bring storage capacity up to 1000 <br /> gallons. <br /> A total of 375 linear ft of drainline will need to be installed at a minimum trench depth <br /> of 24 inches and a maximum trench depth of 30 inches. The drainline will need to be <br /> level from end to end. <br /> When the plot plan has been submitted and approved an installation permit will be <br /> issued and the drainfield can then be installed. This approval is not an installation <br /> permit. <br /> This approval is for a system designed to serve a single family dwelling with a <br /> maximum of 4 bedrooms. Peak sewage flow into the system is limited to a maximum <br /> of 450 gallons per day, with an average sewage flow of not more than 225 gallons per <br /> day. Premature failure of the treatment system may occur if either of these flow <br /> quantities is exceeded. If, for some reason, you expect your domestic household <br /> water use may exceed these flows, it is advisable to increase the size of the treatment <br /> system. <br /> Specific Requirements <br /> HEADER PIPE between Distribution Box and drainfield trench must measure a <br /> minimum of 4 feet, must be installed level, and bedded on undisturbed earth. <br /> OBSERVE ALL SETBACKS AND SEPARATION DISTANCES as required by the <br /> Department of Environmental Quality rules. Other activities such as excavating or filling, <br /> driveway placement, paving or other similar activities that alter the natural soil <br /> conditions will adversely affect the soil and the septic system function and lead to <br /> premature system failure. The area must not be subjected to excessive saturation due <br /> to artificial drainage of ground surfaces, driveways, building downspouts or other <br />
