Permit Number: 555-19-006943-PRMT a e tember 24,2019
Project Address: 6148 Evans Valley NE,Silverton EX P I
061E30-01300
Completed By: Kim Aldrich,WWS
SEPTIC SYSTEM MAJOR ALTERATION
Approved Area & System Type
Site and soil conditions were evaluated a site visits on September 19, 2019. Conditions
observed around the test pits are approved for a STANDARD system for the alteration
and. Please submit a plot plan showing the installation of this additional drainline to the
existing system and all materials that will be used. The existing tank may be used but
must have a riser to grade added and be put on a 24 hour watertight test, an
additional 500 gallon tank will need to be installed to bring storage capacity up to 1000
gallons.
A total of 375 linear ft of drainline will need to be installed at a minimum trench depth
of 24 inches and a maximum trench depth of 30 inches. The drainline will need to be
level from end to end.
When the plot plan has been submitted and approved an installation permit will be
issued and the drainfield can then be installed. This approval is not an installation
permit.
This approval is for a system designed to serve a single family dwelling with a
maximum of 4 bedrooms. Peak sewage flow into the system is limited to a maximum
of 450 gallons per day, with an average sewage flow of not more than 225 gallons per
day. Premature failure of the treatment system may occur if either of these flow
quantities is exceeded. If, for some reason, you expect your domestic household
water use may exceed these flows, it is advisable to increase the size of the treatment
system.
Specific Requirements
HEADER PIPE between Distribution Box and drainfield trench must measure a
minimum of 4 feet, must be installed level, and bedded on undisturbed earth.
OBSERVE ALL SETBACKS AND SEPARATION DISTANCES as required by the
Department of Environmental Quality rules. A copy of the DEQ setback requirements
is available in our office and online at
http://www.oregon.gov/dea/Residential/Pages/Onsite.aspx under Rules: Division 71:
Table 1.
THE APPROVED SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular
traffic, livestock and farming activities. Other activities such as excavating or filling,
driveway placement, paving or other similar activities that alter the natural soil
conditions will adversely affect the soil and the septic system function and lead to
premature system failure. The area must not be subjected to excessive saturation due
to artificial drainage of ground surfaces, driveways, building downspouts or other
