Per OAR 340-071-0130(12), "the
absorption area, including installed system and replacement area, must not be subject to activity that is likely, in the
opinion of the agent, to adversely affect the soil or the functioning of the system. This may include but is not limited to
vehicular traffic, covering the area with asphalt of concrete, gilling, cutting,or other soil modification". If you decide to
move the piles of fill, you are welcome to stakeout your proposed drainfield and we can come out and check the pre-
permit stakeout to see if the proposed system would function in the desired area.As mentioned over the phone,we did
observe signs of a water table towards the S side of the property, so a standard system will not be able to move further
south; however, if the fill is removed we may be able to shift/expand the approved area to the East of the property. At
this time, I cannot expand or manipulate the approved area since I can only create approved areas based on what is on
the site and not a proposal of removing the fill. I hope this helps and clarifies the location and sizing of the approved
area. Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Danny Brown
Danny Brown l Onsite Wastewater Specialist
Pronouns:shr/her
Pl.Iriora Marion County Public Works
ouratai
dbrown@co.marion.or.us
ORE CON (503) 566-3990(office)
1
