No evidence of system failure was observed. However,it is unknown if the septic system
will function properly when put back into use. There is adequate area for future system repair when
needed.
The Marion County files have no information as to the size or the location of the existing septic system
serving this property. The septic tank pumping and inspection report submitted with the application
indicates that the 1000-gallon septic tank is in good operating condition.
THIS EXISTING SYSTEM EVALUATION IS APPROVED. This approval does not guarantee
satisfactory or continuous operation of the existing septic system. Please refer to the signed approved
site plan dated September 26,2005.
THE APPROVED SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic,
livestock and farming activities. Other activities such as logging, excavating or filling, driveway
placement or any similar activities may also damage the soil in the area and adversely affect the septic
system approval. The areas of the initial septic system and the future repair system must both be
protected.
THE SEPTIC TANK SHOULD BE PUMPED AND INSPECTED by a licensed septic tank pumping
service approximately EVERY FIVE(5)YEARS.The septic tank is a reservoir for the solid materials in
the sewage waste stream. Excessive accumulation of these solid materials in the septic tank will cause
the solids to wash out of the tank and into the DRAINFIELD.This will cause irreversible damage to the
DRAINFIELD and will eventually lead to a system failure.
555 Court St.NE — P.O.Box 14500—Salem,Oregon 97309-5036—Phone(503)588-5147—Fax(503)588-7948
Page 1 of 1
