MAILING ADDR~S$~

Elizabeth MeGarvey
2075 Madison St.
Eugene, Or 97405

Dear $irs:

~eDtember 2, 1980
11823 Arndt Road
'Or. 97002

This letter is in regards to the permit that was obtained from
your offices concerning a ~ mobile home placed on a temporary
basis on the property of Elizabeth Anne and Patrick H. McGarvey,
11823 Arndt Rd. (old address, Rt. 2, Box 196,), Aurora, Or~

This letter is long o~erdue, You did not receive a letter I
sent regarding the matter before~

Because I was leaving the area for an undetermined period of
time-in the summer of 1978, and going to Cottage GrOve where we
subsequently purchased a homey ~ got permission to rent a portion
of my property and place a mobile home on it for some young
people who had a mobile home and were refused space in Century
Meadows Park because it was too old, too narrow, etc. I gaVe
them a year's lease with the understanding that the house next
to it would contain store~ furniture until such time that I
would be able to transfer it, or return. Upon my return, or
reasonable notice, the renters would find another place to
put their mobile home.

In the spring of 1979, having filed for divorce and needing a
place to live, I gave my renters notice (there were still two or so
months left on the lease, which I felt wou!d give them time to find
another place. Since that time~ I have attempted to move back.
However, they are unable to find a place to put their trailer.
Subsequently, my mother became ill and ~ had to leave here and
take care of her. My renters are still attempting to find some
way of getting another place to live.

I now find that I am dealing with a landlord-tenant problem, Things
are not so simple. I returned this weekend to find that someone had
fired a gun at their car and into the bedroom window. Their telephone
also went out of service. There is a problem with the people who
bought the property to which we have an easement on the road,
Growers, and the road has been ditched and torn up to prevent ease o~'
access for the peoole who live on the back half of the prop~rty.~(~ine)
the renters and another party, Loren Stover. Apparently,~n~f~cts
to AMY travel on the road above 5 miles an hour~ In the past few
months, my renters have been attempting to sell their mobile home.
The party who has torn the road up has caused some problems, apparently
unawares, because people who have looked at the mobile home have been
skeptical about moving it out, or asses to the property because of
the road~ I am now concerned about the aalability of my property~
because of this roadway, As I mentioned when I was in your office
earlier this year, I was considering listing the property for sale.
I repeat, there is a recorded easement and a three-way agreement
which passed with the sale of the property~ for maintenance of the
road. I would like to move back and my renters know that they must
find a new ho~e within a reasonable length of time. I feel your
office should be aware of the situation.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Anne McGarvey
