'State 'of Oregon ~ , <br />DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY INTEROFFICE MEMO <br /> <br />To: North Marion School Distr~ct No. 15 <br />From: Gary Messer, R.S. ~: <br /> <br />Date: May 28~ 1976 <br /> <br /> Subi~ Subs~)rface Disposal System <br /> <br />On May 14, 1976, staff from the:Marion County Health Department and the Department <br />of Environmental Quality jointly reviewed the proposal to develop a new public <br />school complex for the North Marion School District NO. <br /> <br />The proposed 600 student complex would be located on a 16.20 acre parcel on the <br />east side of CR 141, immediately across from the North Marion Elementary School. <br /> <br />Mr. Foster's comments accurately describe the soil conditions and the necessity <br />to develop the sewage system on,the southern portion of the property. This will <br />further necessitate the installation of a pumping type system, in order to utilize <br />this area. Please refer to the~iattached drawing which outlines the approved drain- <br />field area. For the development of a 600 student complexat this location, it will <br />be necessary to install ten thoesand {lO,O00) lineal feet of disposal trenches. <br /> <br />The disposal trenches are to he'constructed so as: . <br /> a. To be a minimum of 24 inches wide. ~ <br /> b. To be a consistent depSh of 30 inches. <br /> <br />To have a total gravel~aggregate of 18'inches; 12 inches of which shall <br />be located below the disposal pipe. <br /> <br />wr <br /> <br /> <br />
