The intake for the make-up air is causing a negative air pressure between
the concrete wall and the wood frame wall. One solution is to seal the chase
tightly at the perimeter of the air intake louver.

2. The existing siding and wall construction appears to meet minimum code
requirements.~ It is lapped the proper direction and a vapor barrier appears
to be present.' There may be penetrations in the vapor barrier to allow water
to enter. The frame wall appears quite flexible and there is a question if
it meets the windload requirements for allowable deflection.

3. In numerous places the roofing me~rane shows evidence of separation.
The straight line separations appear to be caused by expansion and contraction.
There are als'o random Breaks in the top coat. These breaks are short and all
fellow a fiberglas, thread. The manufacturer of the roofing material should
he c~nsulted on this problem.

4, It should he noted that while the construction of the school in general
and the wall in particular Tnay meet code requirements, these code requirements
are only a set of minimum standsrds.

If we can be of any further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.

~RANCIS E.
