(R-303) <br /> <br />Foundation walls shall extend at least 8 in. above the finished grade to <br />the foundation at all points. (R-304.2 (6 in. where pressure treated <br />sill plates are used.) <br /> <br />Wood framed walls less than four feet an width at garage door openings <br />shall be provided with approved hold-down anchors. Anchors are to be <br />provided at each end of each wall segment and connect the wall studding <br />to the concrete foundation. As an alternate, a designed structural <br />system to resist the required S0 mile per hour wind load can be <br />provided. <br /> <br />2x6 ceiling joists at 16" cc are too small for the span, 2x10 at 16" cc <br />are required minimum. <br /> <br />2x6 rafters at 16" cc and 2x6 ridge are too small of framing member for <br />the span, 2x8 at 16" cc is the required minimum allowable. <br /> <br />Approval as a result of this plan review or an inspection shall not be <br />construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of the dwelling <br />code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction. Reviews or inspections <br />presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the <br />dwelling code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction shall not be valid. <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
