AS a result of that investigation, it has been determined that the site specified on your applica- tion does not qualify for a standard septic system or any of the alternative systems. The conditions on the site do not meet the minimum requirements of the Department of Environmental Quality On-Site Sewage Disposal Rules. These rules are specified in Oregon Administrative Rules, Chapter 340, Division 71, Sections 100 through 600. Consequently, this site must be denied. The principal setbacks. The denial. reasons for denial of this site are related to parcel size and following paragraphs outline the specific reasons for this PARCEL SIZE AND SETBACKS: 1. There is insufficient area on the property for installation of an approved on-site septic system which will meet the setbacks as required in the D.E.Q. rules. The setbacks which are of particular concern are circled on the attached sheet. Zach lot or parcel must have sufficient usable area available to accommodate an initial and replacement septic system. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: We will reconsider your proposal with a detailed field stakeout of all proposed development. Refer to the enclosed stakeout procedure for details to complete the stakeout. The septic system should be staked to reconsider for SAND FILTER PLUS A FULL CAPPING FILL SYSTEMS. Drainfields must be located on the highest surface within the immediate area of the soil test pits. Observe all normal setback separation distances. Refer to the enclosed setback list which outlines minimum separation distances between septic systems and other features. Show the sand filter with the same setbacks as the septic tank. The drainfield lines must be staked for shallow trenches, twelve inches deep minimum and maximum. All adjacent wells must be shown with a 100 feet minimum setback from the proposed drainfields. Your own well must also meet a 100 feet separation from adjacent drainfields and from your proposed drainfields. Prepare and subml showing the revised ~staked.
