Code, Sec. 1713. 3) Exit signs shall be provided at every required exit doorway and wherever otherwise raqofred to clear'ly indicate the direction of egress. An exit sign with letters having a principal stroke not less than three quarters of an inch in width and at least six inches high shall, be provided. The building official may authorize the omission of exit signs at ma~n exterior doors which are obviously and clearly identifiable as exits: Ref. Code~ Sec. 4) Exit deers shall be openab]e from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort. Manually operated edge or surface bo]ts are prohibited: Ref~ Code, Sec. 3301i(e). 5) The addition shall be provided with a minimum of two exits, placed a distance apart eqoal to not less than one=half the maximum overall diagonal dimension of the building or area served: }lcf. Code, Sec. 3303(e). 6) The USe, handling and sale of Class I, II and III-A flammable liquids shall be in accor- dance with the fi. re code: Ref. Code, Sees. 708 and 908. 7) Devices which generate a spark or glow capable of igniting gasoline vapors shall not be Jnatalled or used within 18 inches of the floor: Ref. Code, Sec. 708 and 908. 8) The plans for the above-indicated addition are acceptable as submitted subject to the ~temo noted above and the approval of the authority h~vlng jurisdiction.
