SE
Aumsville, Oregon

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Nichol:

An inspection was made of the above mentioned subject
property on September 27, 1988. The conditions found on
the property do not meet the requirements of the
Department of Environmental Quality On-Site Sewage
Disposal Rules and your site evaluation application is
denied. Listed below are the site conditions and the
corresponding requirements of the D.E.Q. rules.

1. Mottling,as an indicator of a permanent water
table, was observed at 11" to 12" below the ground
surface. A permanent water table must be at least
66" for a standard system and at least 30" for the
alternative systems.

Additional soil test pits will be examined on this
parcel, without charge, within ninety (90) days of the
initial site evaluation if a written request is
submitted to this office.

A request may be submitted to the D.E.Q. for a denial
review and they will visit the site and make a deter-
mination on the suitability of the site for sewage
disposal. The denial review fee is one hundred dollars
($100) and the application must be submitted to the
Willamette Valley Region Office of D.E.Q. within thirty
(30) days of denial notification.

Senator Building 220 High Street NE Salem, Oregon 97301-3670
