M~r ion County <br />Building Inspection <br /> <br />Plans have been reviewed for co~pliance with the State of Oregon 1990 Edition <br />One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> <br />l~%ls plan review covers the adclztion to and/or alteration of an e~sting <br />structure. ~i.s review is not intended to prohibit the buildmng inspector <br />frc~n requesting an evaluation of the acceptability of existing structural <br />n~m%bcrs that may appear to be unsafe, Ex~sting construction not specifically <br />detailed ~n the plans and structural calculations is beyond the scope of this <br />review. <br /> <br />Basemen't wal]s, foundation 'walls, and other vertical concrete exposed to <br />the %-~ather shall have a mmnimum ~ecified cc~pressive strength of <br />3000 psi. Porches, carport slabs, garage flcor slabs and steps exposed <br />to the weather shall have a min3a~mra specified cc~oressive strength of <br />3500 ps4. Table No. R-302,2 <br /> <br />2. Ve~rify that eli walls remox~d are non-l~ld bearing. <br /> <br />C~nJngs between the garage and residence shall, be equipped with solmd <br />wood doors not less than 1 3/8 in. in thickness or equivalent. <br />(R-209.~) <br /> <br />The garage shall be co~pletely separated fr~n the residence and its <br />attic area by means of 1/2-inch gypsum board or equivalent applied to <br />the garage side. ~ door between the garage and residence shall be <br />equipped with solid wood doors not less than 1 3/8 inch in thickness or <br />equivalent. In dwelling units with split <br />level, e, a smoke detector need be installed only on the upper level, <br />provided the lower level is less than one full story below the upper <br />level, except that if there is a deer between levels then a detector is <br />required on each level.
