August 25, 1992 APPLICANT: SITE NUMBER: JIM @ PIPER STRASSEOFER 92-2443 Your site has been found suitable for a SEEPAGE TRENCH ALTERNATIV~ SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM. The following construction specifications shall apply to the installation of your septic system. 1. The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 1500 gallons. The projected daily sewage flow for this project is calculated at 300 qallons per day. Based on soil conditions observed on this site, the disposal field will be sised at 45 lineal feet Der 150 qallons of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of 90 lineal feet of disposal field will be required for your proposed develop- ment. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125 feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed level (~1") and contoured to follow the natural ground surface. The disposal field shall be constructed with serial distribution with a minimum trench depth of 42 inches and a maximum trench depth of 42 inches. The depth of filter below the distribution pipe shall be 24 inches. There must be at least 12 inches of backfill over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground surface. THIS IS NOT A PE~ ~NTIL A VALID PER An effluent lift pump may be necessary to construct the disposal field in the approved area and at the correct depth. This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho- rized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is proposed for a different area on the property. SPECIAL CONDITIONS: This consideration is for a two bedroom ~.aximum residence. The system will be slightly substandard in setback and separation distance between components of the septic system and other features. Refer to the enclosed diagram (notice the drop boxes five feet from the lot line and the eight feet center to center drainline separation). Observe all other normal setback/separation distances. A 1500 gallon, combo dosing septic tank will be necessary and an effluent pump to reach the upper most seepage trench. A green clad trace wire is require from the house cleanout to the septic tank cleanout lid and from the lid to the upper drop box. Filter fabric should be used to cover the rock in the seepage trenches.
