September 15,

APPLICANT:
SITE NUMBER:

STANI~a_~D SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION DETAIL

1992

EL~R CHASE
92-3038

Your site has been found suitable for a STANDARD ON-SITE SEWAGE DISPOSAL
SYSTEM. The following construction specifications shall apply to the installa-
tion of your septic system.

1. The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 100~
gallons.

The projected daily sewage flow for this project is calculated at
450 gallops per daY- Based on soil conditions observed on this
site, the disposal field will be sized at 150 ii. Deal feet per 150
qallon~ of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum Of 450 lineal
feet of disposal field will be required for your proposed develop-
ment. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and
on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125
feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed
level (~1") and contoured to follow the natural ground surface.

The disposal field shall be constructed with serial distribution
with a minimum trench depth of 2~ inche~ and a maximum trench
depth of 26 inc.bes. There must be at least 12 inches of backfill
over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground
surface.

A groundwater interceptor is required as part of this system. This
interceptor trench must be constructed a minimum twelve (12) inches wide by 42
inches deep with 36 inches of clean gravel placed over a four (4) inch smooth
wall perforated pipe. The interceptor must be located at least ten (10) feet
upslope from the disposal field and must discharge through a watertight, non-
perforated pipe beside or below the disposal field. A separation of 25 feet is
required from the septic tank if the tank is located upslope of the groundwa-
ter interceptor.

This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system
must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho-
rized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is
proposed for a different ares on the property.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
The proposed house excavation and footing drains must not conflict with
the minimum setback/separation distance from the existing upslope
drainfield and drainfield replacement sites. Refer to the enclosed
setback list which outlines minimum separation distances between
components of septic systems and other features, existing and proposed.
Note especially the setback from the downslope road out and ditch. The
well might need to be relocated from the current proposed site.

THIS IS NOT A RERMIT TO INSTAL~ THE SEPTIC EYSTEM, DO NO~ INSTALL THE SYSTEM
UN~IL A VALID pERMIT HAS BEEN ISSUED BY THIS OFFICE.
