STANDARD SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION DETAIL SHEET

September 15, 1992

APPLICANT~ ELMER CHASE
SITE NUMBER: 92-3084

Your site has been found suitable for a STANDARD ON-SITE SEWAGE DISPOSAL
SYSTEM. The following construction specifications shall apply to the installa-
tion of your septic system.

The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 1000
gallons.

The projected daily sewage flow for this project is calculated at
450 ~allons Der dav. Based on soil conditions observed on this
site, the disposal field will be sized at 150 line~ feet per 150
qallons of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of 450 lineal
feet of disposal field will be required for your proposed develop-
ment. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and
on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125
feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed
level (il") and contoured to follow the natural ground surface.

The disposal field shall be constructed with s.~rial distribution
with a minimum trench depth of 24 inches and a maximum trench
depth of 30 inches. There must be at least 12 inches of backfill
over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground

A groundwater interceptor is required as part of this system. This
interceptor trench must be constructed a minimum twelve (12) inches wide by 42
inches deep with 36 inches of clean gravel placed over a four (4) inch smooth
wall perforated pipe. The interceptor must be located at least ten (10) feet
upslope from the disposal field and must discharge through a watertight, non-
perforated pipe beside or below the disposal field. A separation of 25 feet is
required from the septic tank if the tank is located upslope of the groundwa-
ter interceptor.

An effluent lift pump may be necessary to construct the disposal field
in the approved area and at the correct depth.

This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system
must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho-
rized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is
proposed for a different area on the property.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
The existing lower soil test pit is dug too close to the downslope road
cut and ditch. Also, too close to the proposed well. The drainfields
will need to be shifted farther upslope and the well will need to be
relocated or eliminated altogether and the residence serviced from an
offsite water supply. Refer to the enclosed setback list which outlines
minimum separation distances between components of the septic systems
and other features, existing and proposed. The new lot lines must meet a
ten (10) feet minimum setback from the existing adjacent drainfield and
the replacement drainfield sites. A preconstruction field stakeout is
recommended. Refer to the enclosed stakeout procedure to complete the
stakeout.

THIS IS NOT A PERMIT TO INSTALL TEE SEPTIC SYSTEM. DO NOT INSTALL THE SYSTSM
UNTIL A VALID PERMIT HAS B~RM ISSUED BY THIS OFFICE.
