ll005 Ja~es Way, Aumsville <br />August 28, 1992 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />Marion County <br /> ORI~GON <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />iDE PARTM£N1 <br /> <br />Building Inspection - Dwelling Pled Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of Oregon <br />1990 Edition One and TwO Family Dwelling specialty Code. <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where the <br />fall will be a minimum of 6 i~. regardless of the horizontal distance <br />available. (R-301.3) <br /> <br />Foundation plates shall be bolted to the foundation with minimum <br />1/2 inch diameter by 10 inch anchor bolts embedded at least 7 inches <br />into concrete or reinforced masonry and spaced not more than 6 feet <br />apart with a minimum of 2 bolts per piece with one bolt within 12 inches <br />of the end of each piece. Figure (R-303) <br /> <br />Fifestopping shall be provided in the following locations: <br /> A) In concealed spaces of stud walls, including furred spaces, <br /> at the ceiling and floor level; <br /> B) At all interconnections between concealed vertical and <br /> horizontal spaces such as occur at soffits, drop ceilings <br /> etc.; <br /> C) At openings around vents, pipes and ducts at ceiling and <br /> floor level, with noncombustible materials. (R-402.7) <br /> <br />All electrical outlets installed in a garage shall be elevated 18 inches <br />above the floor. NEC Article 500) <br /> <br />All exterior walls shall be provided lateral bracing at each end and <br />every 25 feet of wall length by one of the following methods~ <br /> 1 X 4 let in diagonal braces between 45 and 60 degrees from the <br /> horizontal. <br />B: Approved metal strap devices installed in accordance with the <br /> manufacturer's specifications. <br />C: Approved structural sheathing. (plywood, waferwood, etc. Braced <br /> panels must be a minimum of 4 feet in width.) (R-402.10) <br /> <br />wood framed walls less than four feet in width at garage door openings <br />shall be provided with approved hold-down anchors. Anchors are to be <br />provided at each end of each wall segment and connect the wall studding <br />to the concrete foundation. As an alternate, a designed structural <br />system to resist the required 80 mile per hour wind load can be <br />provided. <br /> <br />Ail job site cutting or modification of the roof trusses shall be <br />clearly shown in the engineer's design calculations and drawings. <br /> <br />It is assumed from the plans that this new addition will not be heated <br />nor cooled. If it was to be heated or cooled it would be reqired to be <br />insulated in accordance with the energy code. <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plan~ <br /> <br /> <br />
