NE, Aurora <br />93-00985 (45925) <br />July 27, 1993 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> arion County <br /> OREGON <br /> <br /> Building InspectiOn - Dwelling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with th~ atate of Oregon <br />1990 Edition One and TWO Family Dwelling Specialty cede. <br /> <br />A copy of approved plans when required by the building official shall be <br />kept on the site of the building or work at the time of inspection. <br /> <br />Basement walls, foundation walls, and other vertical concrete exposed to <br />the weather shall have a minimum specified compressive strength of <br />3000 psi. Porches, carport slabs, garage floor slabs and steps exposed <br />to the weather shall have a minimum specified compressive strength of <br />3500 psi. Table NO. (R-302.2) <br /> <br />Heating and cooling appliances located in a garage shall be protected <br />from impact by automobiles. Appliances that generate a glow, spark of <br />flame capable of igniting gasoline vapors located in a garage shall be <br />installed with burners, burner ignition devices or heating elements and <br />switches at least 18 inches above the floor level. (M-1006.3) <br /> <br />In new construction, required smoke detectors shall receive their <br />primary power from the building wiring and when primary power is <br />interrupted, 5hall receive power from a battery. <br /> <br />Provide screened attic vents with a net free area of 1/150 of the attic <br />area (or 1/300 if half is along eaves and the other half in the upper <br />portion). (R-707) <br /> <br />A readily accessible attic access shall be provided to any attic area <br />having a clear height of over 30 inches. A framed opening not less than <br />22 in. by 30 in. is required. <br /> <br />Roof trusses are required to be designed by an Oregon registered <br />Engineer or Architect. FOr trusses manufactured by an approved <br />fabrication plant, have the design and layout drawings available at the <br />construction site for the framing inspection. All job site cutting or <br />modification of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the <br />engineer's design calculations and drawings. If trusses are to be built <br />at %h~ job site, submit the engineer's design and construction plans to <br />the Marion County Building Department prior to start of construction and <br />have the approved drawings available at the site for the framing <br />inspection. <br /> <br />Fireplaoe and chimney construction shall conform to chapter 9. The <br />fireplace detail on the plans does not show the required vertical and <br />horizontal reinforcing required per Table No. R-903.1. See the attached <br />copy of Table No. 903.1 for requirements. <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
