Charlene C, Roberts <br />14081 Cessna <br />Aurora, OR 97002 <br /> <br />October 12, 1992 <br /> <br />MsrJ.on County Building Inspection, ATTN: <br />Senator Bldg. #225 <br />220 High St., <br />Salem, OR 97301 <br /> <br />Jerry B. <br /> <br />BUILDING INSPECTION <br /> <br />Dear Jerry B. <br /> <br /> I am writing in regards to your inspection report dated 10/5/92 at site #14149, <br />In response to your conversation of 10/6/92 at 8:15 AM and in compliance with your <br />report, I would like to answer e.ach item on the list that we intend to carry out. <br /> <br />ITEM 1: (6~ setback from closest building.) <br />SOLUTION: The wall is now 83" or 6'11" from the nearest building and we intend to <br />cot back the overhang to 72" or 6'. <br /> <br />ITEM 2: Overspan of 3 x 4 rafters. <br />SOLUTION: We intend to attach a 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 with notch to each rafter for support. <br /> <br />iTEM 3: Overspan of 2 x 8 header <br />SOLUTION: We intend to install a total of 5 - pressure treated 2 x 4's vertically as <br />support and for use as doorway. <br /> <br />ITEM 4a: Sewing room footing. <br />SQLUTION: Existing footing consists of pressure treated creosote wood. <br />reinforce with 8 x 8 railroad ties as additional footing. <br /> <br />We will <br /> <br />ITEM 4b: Sewing Room roof system <br />The sewing room system consists of 5 - 3/8" thick clear tempered glass panels - they are <br />93" long and are supported by 2 x 4's, 24" on center lengthwise - against trailer <br />they are supported by 2 x 8 headers and at front by 2 x 8 hesders on a steel frame. <br />The roof is slanted for runoff. Stencil from glass as follows. <br />3/8U 16 CFR 1201-11, ANSI Z 97.1 - 1984, CGSB-12-GP-I. <br /> <br />ITEM 5: Provide plans and apply for permit for carport and sewing room addition. <br />SOLUTION: Plans and application were submitted on 9/30/91 for carport and that is over <br />a year ago and I believe you said yon still haw~ that information. If not, I have copies. <br />The sewing room is not an addition and I was told for roof repairs I did not need permit, <br /> <br />All changes have not yet been made~ but will be as soon as possible. We both work and <br />unable to finish by 10/15/92.
