The open space between the intermediate or <br />ornamental pattern of guardrails shall be such that a 4-inch diameter <br />sphere cannot pass through. (1712) <br /> <br />~uardrails and their connections shall be designed for a lateral load of <br />20 pounds per foot applied horizontally at right anqle$ to the top rail. <br />(Table NO. 23-B) <br /> <br />Approval of submitted plans is not an approval of omissions or oversights by this <br />office or of noncompliance with any applicable regulations of local 9overnment. <br /> <br />This project may be subject to the architectural standards of the ~ericans with <br />Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). Issuance of a building permit does not certify <br />compliance with this Federal statute. Copies of the guidelines and information <br />concerning the ADA may be obtained from the Architectural and Transportation <br />Barriers Compliance Board, 1-202-653-7834 (Voice/TDD) or 1-800 USA-ABLE.
