The new structure is outside of
Detroit City Limits.

It has been brought to my attention that a $731.75 permit fee is
required by Marion County. This cost includes the Site Plan Review
and the building permit.

After I spoke with you on Monday, February 1, 1993 I realized our
plans and specifications call for the contractor to acquire all applicable
building permits, except the Site Plan Review; therefore, the initial fee
waiver requested at this time is $79.00 for the Site Plan Review.

I am requesting you to consider waiving the remainder of the permit
fee and if appropriate I will issue an addendum to the contract
documents. It was the intention of the architect to have the contractor
responsible for all applicable permits, except the Site Plan Review.
Whether the contractor or ODOT pays the permit fee, it is a cost
ODOT would like to have waived.

ODOT has worked closely with Marion County Public Works
Department and, to my knowledge, has not required the county to
pay for any ODOT permits or detour improvements (when the county
detours onto a State Highway).

885 Airport Road
Salem, OR 97311)
(503) 378-2630
FAX (503) 373-1038
