Marion County

OREGON
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
DEPARTMENT

(503) 588-5O38
~OARD OF

Gary Hee~

OFFICI~R

June 22, 1993

AUTHORIZATION NOTICE

JIM & HANNELORE STRINGER
3091 DEERING AVE. NW
SALEM, OREGON 97304

Subject: 300 SANTIAM AVENUE, DETROIT, ORE. 97342
Site Number: 93-1618

An inspection was made at the above address on June 21,
1993 to determine if the existing on-site sewage system
located on the property appeared adequate to serve the
purpose described in the attached application. This
application is to replace the previous two bedroom mobile
home with a two bedroom residence. The property is cur-
rently vacant and the system not in use. The septic tank
was pumped on s/17/92 by Stayton Septic Services and the
tank was inspected at that time.

This notice is issued with the recommendation that the
septic tank be pumped and inspected by a licensed septic
tank pumper approximately every five years. This notice
does not guarantee satisfactory or continuous operation
of the existing on-site sewage disposal system. Planning
approval may be required for the proposed development of
the property.

COM/4ENTS:

The existing septic system was constructed in
1973. It consists of a 1000 gallon septic
tank and 170 lineal feet of drainfield (three
lines). The new residence must meet a five
feet separation from the septic tank and ten
feet from the drainfield. The water line
should be relocated at least ten feet from
the drainfield. An alternative sand filter
system might be required for future repairs.

Our office hours are Monday through Friday,
Please contact our office if you have
concerning th~s report.

LEE A.
