This review is for compliance with the provisions of the Oregon ~ ~ate . ~o Structural Specialty Code ('91 UBS) 1993 Edition. %~.,~:' This review is not intended to prohibit the building inspecte~'~F~m req~%e~ing an evaluation of the acceptability Of existing structural memb%rs that ~ appear to be unsafe. ~x~t~ng construction not specifically detailed ~q h~ plans and structural calculations is beyond the scope of this ~ew. ~%~ The total allowable area in Table No. 5-C for this type o~osonst~ugt[pn and an A-3 occupancy is 6000 square feet ma×imam. The e~isting c~Th has 4824 square feet of area and the addition has 1770 area totaling 6595 square feet total area in the proposed complete~ building. The proposed completed building will exceed the allowable area limits set forth in Table NO. The floor areas specified in Section 505 may be increased where public ways or yards adjoin the proposed construction on two or more ~ides or where an approved automatic fire sprinkler system is installed throughout the building. (506) On the site plan, public ways are indicated on three sides of this building, which permits an increase in the floor area of 100 percent for 12,000 square feet allowable area. In Groups A, E, and I Occupancies, all curtains, draperies, drops, tapestries and similar furnishings and decorations will be composed of noncombustible materials or shall be rendered and maintained flameproof. (4206) A water supply sufficient to control a potential fire is required. Appendix III~A of the Uniform Fire Code. Contact the local fire department for requirements.
