STANDARD SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION DETAIL SHEET

August 13, 1993

APPLICANT: ANNETTE BISSELL
SITS NUMBER: 93-2632

Your site has been found suitable for a STANDARD ON-SITE SEWAGE DISPOSAL
SYSTEM. The following construction specifications shall apply to the installaw
=ion of your septic system.

1. The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 1000
gallons.

2. The projected daily sewage flow for this project is calculated at
450 qallons per day. Based on soil conditions observed on this
site, the disposal field will be sized at 150 lineal feet per
qallons of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of 450 lineal
feet of disposal field will be required for your proposed develop-
ment. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and
on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125
feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed
level (±1") and contoured to follow the natural ground surface.

3. The disposal field shall be constructed with seria%, distribution
with a minimum trench depth of 24 inches and a maximum trench
depth of 24 inches. There must be at least 12 inches of backfill
over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground
surface.

A groundwater interceptor is required as part of this system. This
interceptor trench mast be constructed a minimum twelve (12) inches wide by 42
inches deep with 36 inches of clean gravel placed over a four (4) inch smooth
wall perforated pipe. The interceptor must be located at least ten (10) feet
upslope from the disposal field and must discharge through a watertight, non-
perforated pipe beside or below the disposal field. A separation of 25 feet is
required from the septic tank if the tank is located upslope of the groundwa-
ter interceptor.

An effluent lift pump may be necessary to construct the disposal field
in the approved area and at the correct depth.

This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system
must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho-
rized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is
proposed for a different area on the property.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
Construct the drainfields within the immediate area of the three most
northerly test pits. The lower pits are too close to the building
excavation. A pre-construction field stakeout is recommended to estab-
lish the locations and elevations of the individual drainlines. Refer to
stakeout p~ocedure and the ~etba~k list for details to complete the
stakeout. A list of licensed installers who can assist with the stakeout
is enclosed for your convenience. Both the original and replacement
fields should be staked for location. Use care not to alter the natural
topsoil within the proposed drainfield sites. Drainfields can only be
installed into the natural undisturbed topsoil. Submit a detailed to-
scale-drawn plot plan of the stakeout to our office as soon as possible.
Soil conditions are marginal, so construction should be limited to the
dry soil summer season.

THIS IS NOT A PERMIT TO INS~aT~. THE SEPTIC SYSTEM. DO NOT INSTALL THE SYSTEM
UNTIL A VALID PERMIT HAS BEEN ISSUED BY THIS OFFICE.
