15180 Park Ave. Aurora <br />93-2701 (9 0~2S~) <br />September 21, 1993 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />Marion County <br /> OREGON <br /> <br />Building Inspection - Dwelling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of Oregon <br />1993 Edition One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> <br />A copy of approved plans when required by the building official shall be <br />kept on the site of the building or work at the time of inspection. <br />(R-ii1.2) <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where the <br />fall will be a minimum of 6 in. regardless of the horizontal distance <br />available. (R-301.3) <br /> <br />20. <br /> <br />Foundation plates shall be bolted to the foundation with minimum <br />1/2 inch diameter by 10 inch anchor bolts e~bedded at least 7 inches <br />into concrete or reinforced masonry and spaced not more than 6 feet <br />apart with a minimum of 2 bolts per piece with one bolt within 12 inches <br />of the end Of each piece. Figure (R-303) <br /> <br />21. <br /> <br />The structural supports for decks, balconies, porches or similar <br />structures shall be pressure-treated wood to protect against decay. <br />(R-309.1) <br /> <br />22. <br /> <br />Provide at least 1 square foot of u~derfloor ventilation for each 150 <br />square feet of crawl space area. The openings shall be covered with a <br />corrosion resistant wire mesh. At least one such opening shall be <br />provided within 3 feet of each corner of the building. (R-311.1) <br /> <br />23. <br /> <br />Provide an access crawl hole to the underfloor space. The minimum size <br />opening required is 18 inches by 24 inches. (E-311.2) <br /> <br />24. <br /> <br />Wood joists or the bottom of a wood structural floor closer than <br />iS-inches or wood girders closer than 12 inches to exposed ground shall <br />be pressure treated lumber. (R-309.1) <br /> <br />25. <br /> <br />Stairways shall not be less than 3 feet in clear width and the headroom <br />shall not be less than 6 feet 8 inches. The minimum required stair <br />tread width is 9 inches. The maximum stair rise is 8 1/4 inches. When <br />risers are closed, all treads may have a uniform projection not to <br />exceed 1 1/2 inches. The greatest riser height shall not exceed the <br />smallest by more than 3/8 inch. (R-213.1) <br /> <br />26. <br /> <br />Handrails meeting the following requirements shall be provided on at <br />least one side of stairways. The handgrip portion of h&:drails shall be <br />not more than 2 5/8 inches in cross-sectional dimension, or the shape <br />shall provide an equivalent gripping surface. Handrails shall be <br />mounted between a minimum of 30 inches and a maximum of -'~ inches. They <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
