15180 Park Ave. Aurora <br />September 21, 1993 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />46. <br /> <br />49. <br /> <br />Bathrooms shall be provided with artificial light and an approved <br />mechanical ventilation system capable of producing a change of air every <br />12 minutes or a window of not less than 3 sq. ft., one-half of which <br />must be openable. (R-203.3) <br /> <br />Individual glazed areas in hazardous locations shall pass the test <br />(CPSC 16-CFR) requirements of Section R-208.3 (safety glazing). <br />Eazardous locations are considered as follows~ <br /> <br />53. <br /> <br />Wood framed walls less than four feet in width at garage door openings <br />shall be provided with approved hold-down anchors. Anchors are to be <br />provided at each end of each wall segment and connect the wall studding <br />to the concrete foundation. As an alternate, a designed structural <br />system to resist the required 80 mile per hour wind load can be <br />provided. <br /> <br />54. <br /> <br />59. <br /> <br />62. <br /> <br />Provide screened attic vents with a net free area of 1/150 of the attic <br />area (or 1/300 if half is along eaves and the other half in the upper <br />portion). (R-707) <br /> <br />Ridge board shall be at least 1 inch nominal thickness and not less in <br />depth than the cut end of the rafter. At all valleys and hips there <br />shall be a valley or hip rafter not less than 2 in. nominal thickness <br />and not less in depth than the cut end of the rafter. <br /> <br />Roof trusses are required to be designed by an Oregon registered <br />Engineer Or Architect. For trusses manufactured by an approved <br />fabrication plant, have the design and layout drawings available at the <br />construction site for the framing inspection. All job site cutting or <br />modification of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the <br />engineer's design calculations and drawings. If trusses are to be built <br />at the job site, submit the engineer's design and construction plans to <br />the Marion County Building Department prior to start of construction and <br />have the approved drawings available at the site for the framing <br />inspection. <br /> <br />73. <br /> <br />Water heaters having nonrigid water connections and over 4-feet in <br />height from the base to the top of the tank case shall be anchored or <br />s~apped to the building to resist horizontal displacement due to <br />earthquake motion. (M-1006.2) <br /> <br />Approval as a result of this plan review or an inspection shall not be <br />construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of the dwelling <br />code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction. Reviews or inspections <br />presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the <br />dwelling code er of other Ordinances of the jurisdiction shall not be valid. <br /> <br />RB <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
