10207 Matthie~ Lane N.E., Aurora <br />93-02572 / 9048695 <br />August 6, 1993 <br />page 1 <br /> <br />Mario,n County <br /> O£EGON <br />COMMU NJTY DEVELC)PM[N'f <br />D[PA~TMENT <br /> <br />Buildinq Inspection - Dwelling Pla~ Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of Oregon <br />1993 ~dition One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> <br />Approved numbers or addresses shall be placed on all buildinqs in such a <br />position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road <br />fronting the property. (UFC 10.208) <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where the <br />fall will be a minimum of $ in. regardless of the horizontal distance <br />available. (R-301.3) <br /> <br />Firestopping shall be provided in the following locations: <br /> A) In concealed spaces of stud walls, including furred spaces, <br /> at the ceiling and floor level; <br /> B} At all interconnections between concealed vertical and <br /> horizontal spaces such as occur at soffits, drop ceilings <br /> <br /> c) At openings around vents, pipes ducts, chimneys and <br /> fireplaces at ceiling &sd floor level, with noncombustible <br /> materials. (R-402.7} <br /> <br />Wood framed walls less than four feet in width at garage door openings <br />shall be provided with approved hold-down anchors. Anchors are to be <br />provided at each end of each wall segment and connect the wall studding <br />to the concrete foundation. As an alternate, a designed structural <br />system to resist the required 80 mile per hour wind load can be <br />provided. <br /> <br />Roof trusses are required to be designed by an Oregon registered <br />E~gineer or Architect. For trusses manufactured by an approved <br />fabrication plant, have the design and layout drawings available at the <br />construction site for the framing inspection. All job site cutting or <br />modification of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the <br />engineer's design calculations and drawings. <br /> <br />Water heaters having nonrigid water connections and over 4-feet in <br />height from the base to the top of the tank case shall be anchored or <br />strapped to the building to resist horizontal displacement due to <br />earthquake motion. (M-1006.2) <br /> <br />Factory built chimneys and venting systems shall conform to the <br />conditions of their listing and the manufacturer's installation <br />instructions. (R-902) <br /> <br />~eating appliances shall be accessible for inspection, service, repair <br />and replacement without removing permanent construction.
