360 Santiam Ave., Detroit <br />93-3884 / 9051259 <br />November 12, 1993 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />Marion C,ounty <br /> OREGON <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />DEPARTMEI~F <br /> <br />Building Inspection - Dwelling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of oregon <br />1993 Edition One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Cede. <br /> <br />This plan review covers the construction of a 24' X 46' conventional <br />wood frame building that is proposed to be used as a shop. The building <br />does not appear to be heated er cooled, if it is to be heated or cooled <br />it would be required to meet the requirements of the energy code. <br /> <br />Approved numbers or addresses shall be placed on all buildings in such a <br />position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road <br />fronting the property. (UFC 10.208) <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where the <br />fall will be a minimum of 6 in. regardless of the horizontal distance <br />available. (R-301.3) <br /> <br />Foundation plates shall be bolted to the foundation with minimum <br />1/2 inch diameter by 10 inch anchor bolts embedded at least 7 inches <br />into concrete or reinforced masonry and spaced not more than 6 feet <br />apart with a minimum of 2 bolts per piece with one bolt within 12 inches <br />of the end of each piece. Figure (R-303) <br /> <br />Wood framed walls less than four feet in width at garage door openings <br />shall be provided with approved hold-down anchors. Anchors are to be <br />provided at each end of each wall segment and connect the wall studding <br />to the concrete foundation. As an alternate, a designed structural <br />system to resist the required 80 mile per hour wind load can be <br />provided. <br /> <br />Roof trusses are required to be d~signed by an oregon registered <br />Engineer or Architect. For trusses manufactured by an approved <br />~abrication plant, have the design and layout drawings available at the <br />construction site for the framing inspection. Ail Job site cutting or <br />modification of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the <br />engineer's design calculations and drawings. <br /> <br />Th~ luring strips that are proposed for the roof will be requried to be <br />a minimum of 2" X <br /> <br />8. A minimum 4 X 16 header will be required over the 16' garage door. <br /> <br />Approval as a result of this plan review or an inspection shall not be <br />construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of the dwelling <br />code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction. Reviews or inspections <br />presumin~ to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the <br />dwelling code or of oth~r ordinances of the Jurisdiction shall not be valid. <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
