This review is based on the regulations of the Oregon State <br />Structural Specialty code ('91 UBS) 1993 Edition, <br /> <br />This building is required to be not less than one-hour fire-resistive <br />construction. <br /> <br />Walls and ceilings of corridors shall be of one-hour fire-resistive <br />construction. (3305(g)) Every interior door opening shall be protected <br />by a tight-fitting smoke- and draft-control assembly having a fire <br />protection rating of not less than 20-mlnutes. The door and frame shall <br />bear an approved label or other identification showing the rating. <br />Doors shall be maintained self-closing or shall be automatic-closing by <br />actuation of a smoke detector. Door assemblies shall be provided with a <br />gasket so installed as to provide a seal where the door meets the stop <br />on both sides and across the top. (3305(h}1) <br /> <br />Toilet room floors shall have a smooth, hard, nonabsorbent surface such <br />as portland cement, concrete, ceramic tile or other approved material <br />which extends upward onto the walls at least 5 inches.
