Chimney shall be provided with crickets when the dimension parallel to <br /> the ridgeline is greater than 30 inches. The intersection of the <br /> chimney shall be flashed and counterflashed. Wood beams, joists, headers and studs shall not be placed within 2 <br /> inches from the outsld~ face of a masonry chimney built partially or <br /> entirely within the dwelling.
