April 13, 1995 APPLICANT: SITE NUMBER: SAND FILTER SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION DETAIL SHEET KEN & SAA!DY ALLEN 94-2845. PA~RTITION: NORTH P/0 T/L:2300, 2.25 OF 5.25 ACRES. Your site has been found suitable for a SA~D FILTER ALTERi~ATIVE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM. The following construction specifications shall apply to the installation of your septic system. The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 1000 gallons_ The projected daily s~wa~e flow for this project is calculated at 450 qallons Der day. Eased on soil conditions observed on this site, the disposal field will be sized at 50 lineal feet p~r 150 gallons of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of ~50 lineal feet of disposal field will be required for your proposed develop~ ment. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125 feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed level (±1") and contoured to follow the natural ground surface. The disposal field shall be constructed with equal distribution with a minimum trench depth of 18 inch~,R and a maximum trench depth of 24 inches. There must be at least 6 inches of backfill over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground surface. The sand filter system shall be designed and operated as per OAR 340-71-290 through 340-71-305. Detailed plans for the system must be submitted prior to permit issuance. A building permit is required if a site built concrete box is used as the sand filter container. A pamphlet is available in our office which details the requirements for a sand filter system. This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho- rized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is proposed for a different area on the property. SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Construct the drainfields within the immediate area of the soil test pits. Soil conditions are marginal for the sand filter system consider- ation. Use care not to alter the natural topsoil within the drainfield areas prior to installation. Observe all the usual setback and s~para- tion dietances as outlined by the enclosed eetback list. THIS IS NOT A PERMIT TO INSTALL TKE SEPTIC SYSTEM.
