X 40 ft. proposed cleaning
room and 10 X 10 interior grinding room inside the north west portion of the
existing building. The interior alteration is sho~n to be located immediately
east of the existing blade shop.
This review is based on the quantities of flammable and hazardous materials
stored and in use as not exceeding the exempt amounts specified in the State
of Oregon Structural Specialty Code table 9-A.

This review also covers the extension of the buildings existing dry pipe fire
sprinkler system to provide complete coverage for the newly created rooms.

Although the construction for this interior alteration is shown to be one hour
~construction, with one hour protection o£ interior openings including the fire
damper at the 30 X 48 interior air make up grill, the penetrations of the
~ceiling at the exhaust ducts necessitates a classification of 5-N.

The plan indicates the North wall of the new construction will be of 2 X 6
construction with gypsum wall board on each side, creating a noncombustible
void space between the new construction and the existing metal building
exterior wall.
Approval of submitted plans is not an approval of omissions or oversights by
this office or of noncompliance with any applicable regulations of local
government.

Local Fire Districts may have additional requirements that affect this
project.
