The following construction spocifications shall apply to the installation of your septic system. The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 10Q~ gallons. The projected daily sewage flow for this project is calculated at 450 qal%qns per day. Eased on soil conditions observed on this site, the disposal field will be sized at 45 lineal feet per 150 qallons of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of 135 lineal feet of disposal field will be required for your proposed develop- ment. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125 feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed level (±1"} and contoured to follow tho natural ground surface. The disposal field shall be constructed with equal distribution with a minimum trench depth of 18 inches and a maximum trench depth of 18 inches. There must bo at least 6 inche~ of backfill over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground surface. The sand filter system shall be designed and operated as per OAR 340-71-290 through 340-71-305. Detailed plans for the system must be submitted prior to permit issuance. A building permit is roquired if a site built concrete box is used as the sand filter container. A pamphlet is available in our office which details the requirements for a sand filter system. An effluent lift pump may bo necessary to construct the disposal field in the approved area and at the correct depth. This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho- rized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is proposed for a different area on the property. SPECIAL CONDITIONS~ The sand filter drainfield must be installed within the immediate area of the uppermost (northeasterly) test pit. It might be necessary to elevate tho sand filter to achieve gravity flow into the shallow drainfield lines. A capping fill will be required with the sand filter replacement drainfield with the lines limited to 12 inches deep. Soil conditions are marginal, so uso care not to disturb the soil surface prior to installation. A pre-construction field stakeout is recommended to establish the elevations and locations of the individual drainfield lines for both systems prior to siting the house and well. Refer to the stakeout procedure and the setback list for details to complete the stakeout. Observe all normal setback and separation distances. THIS IS NOT A PERMIT TO INSTALL THE SEPTIC SYSTEM.
