The single 1" top plates will emsily split out from the lag screws and neither 1" or 2" manufactured <br /> dwelling top plates are designed to transfer Re roof li~lo~s of ~e~,~,.m}_ufactured dwelling or the <br /> awning/carport to th~e,,~ ~,ll~i~!~i <br /> <br />~~~¢;All other attachments should be toade according to the awning/carport manufacturer's <br /> with special attention paid to the top and bottom po*t connections and ground anchors. <br /> <br />Regarding your question of which takes precedence for the attachment of accessory structures to <br />manufactured dwellings (manufactured dwelling manufacturer's imtallation instructions vs. Oregon <br />Specialty Codes), the Oregon Specialty Codes take precedence, <br /> <br />Thank you for bringing this issue to toy attention, We are currently in the process of re-writing the <br />manufactured dwelling rules and will attempt to make this section more clear and more "user friendly." <br /> <br />PATRICK D.
