A steel spike anchor 'A "x 16" was driven <br /> through the pad into the ground to the depth of the spike flush with the top of the pad. The pad <br /> was a pre-drilled. A SFS 60 Panel was centered atop of the pad with a bottom connector fastened <br /> to the pad. The top of the panel was attached to a simulated rim joist with a dead load of 16001bs <br /> resting on top of the rim joist. <br /> A load of 1200 lbs. was placed at the 1 1/4" side of the panel by the use of a cable and series of <br /> pulleys. The load was maintained for ten minutes. Additional weight was added in increments <br /> of 200 or less lbs. until failure.
