I have ~ade my own soil inspection in
preparation to applying for a variance system as authorized
unde~ OAR 3h0 7~-015.

The site is as described by Mr. Robert Foster. The apparent
texture and engineering claes is silt loam ML~ A~. The depth
to ~'oil mottling rRnges from 15" to 17" and the proposed site
is on Oho crest of a broad convex $o flat ridge, The depth
~o worm cast and root pene~ratlon along with clearly visible
clay films indicate tb~at the soil is not restrictive to g~ter
than 36". The soil series Im Aloha iD Amlt~ silt loam.

The proposed variance disposal system to serve a three (3)
bedroom home is to include a 1000 ~allon septic tank and 4,
110~ equal trenches ~' Wide and 12" deep. After installation
of trenches, the site will be rototilled to destroy any grass
or weed mat and 500 cubic yards of local silt loam topsoil will
be placed 12" deep over the 130' X 90r staked site, The fill
will be finish graded and planted to perennial fesque grass.
On the southwest, ~outheast and northeast side of the capfllled
area, 4" a~ricultural tile Will be installed 48" deep. The
tile will be setback 10' from the fill edge and ~0' from the
eouthwest disposal trench. ~he agricultural tile will exhaust
~o the closest ezlat!ng tile in the swale ~0 ~he southeas~ of
the si~e.

The shallow instal/sO!on will p~,:~ce the sidewall absorption
area above ~he mottling and the hlEhest reported observed
wa~ertable (Mr. Foster report dated February 8, 1~ and ~Ith,
1979). This was duping the longest and most severe ral~sto~m
last winter. The atricultura.1 tile is to aid in provf~k~ng the
perched groundwater from contacting the disposal trench.

7525 S.E.
