Antique Powerland meets requirements for providing sanitary facilities for events. <br /> The three permanent restrooms can serve up to 1400 males and 850 females <br /> (29-A). However,Antique Powerland requires supplementing the permanent restrooms <br /> with portable toilets for larger events. The largest event, The Great Oregon Steam-Up <br /> adds up to 40 portable toilets to serve daily attendance of a maximum of 8000 people. <br /> (workers, exhibitors and paid attendees.) <br /> The total of permanent and portable toilets should serve 5200 males and 3700 <br /> females or a total of 9050 which exceeds daily attendance. <br /> B. Museum Visits <br /> Although 2902 requires restrooms inside A-3 buildings it also allows up to 500' <br /> distance to a restroom that can include going outside to enter restrooms in the <br /> building but with outside entrances. (Buildings with restrooms,but with outside <br /> entrances). Antique Powerland strongly suggests walking up to 500' to enter restrooms <br /> from the outside is not significantly different from walking up to 500'to another building. <br /> (2902.4.1), (2902.4.2). <br /> Antique Powerland has several small museum buildings. Their use and occupancy <br /> is many times lower than most,if not all specific Group A buildings listed in 29-A. <br /> Buildings such as conference rooms, dinning rooms,drinking establishments, <br /> gymnasiums,restaurants, amusement parks, sports arena, community halls, auditoriums, <br /> convention halls, stadiums etc. all suggest much more substantial buildings with much <br /> 411/ higher actual occupancy than the small museums at Powerland. Logic suggest some <br /> museums such as the Gazebo and Logging flat car museum should be exempt from <br /> interior sanitary facility requirements. <br /> As previously noted there are enough permanent restrooms to serve 1900 visitors. <br /> Typical daily attendance during the week is 10-20 visitors and daily attendance on <br /> weekends is up to 50. <br /> V. Specific Requirements for Pending Building Permits. <br /> 1. Logging Museum No.1, 11-004821. <br /> This small museum, (2304ft') should be exempt from restrooms because it is not <br /> normally occupied. (2902.1) In addition this building is within 320' of public restrooms. <br /> (2902.4.2)(see comments on similarities exterior entrances and separate buildings). <br /> 2. Logging Museum No. 2, 12-00810 <br /> This building is mounted on a railroad flatcar and is only 576 ft'. Due to its size <br /> and physical characteristics it would essentially be impossible to include restrooms inside <br /> the building. Additionally this building is not normally occupied and is within 500' of <br /> public restrooms. <br /> 3. John Deere Museum building, 09-06946. <br />
