The steel-frame, single-story building had metal siding and a metal roof. It measured 100 feet by 100 feet(30 meters by 30 meters)and contained a 15-by-15-foot(4.5-by-4.5-meter)wooden office. It had no fire detection or sprinkler system. Blaze Damages Aircraft Hangar, California An aircraft hangar and several private aircraft were damaged in a fire that's believed to have started in a travel trailer stored inside the hangar. The hangar, which was 20 feet high and had an unprotected steel and metal roof and walls, was bisected by a metal wall. The building contained 14 units, each measuring 44 by 39 feet,and had no fire detection or suppression equipment. A 20-foot travel trailer connected to the ( building's sewer and electrical lines was stored in one of the units.
