[ Alternative Materials and/or Methods Application Narrative
The attached structural calculations provide engineering showing the proposed movable structure will
be effective in safely maintaining structural stability during a large wind or snow event. The construction
methods and materials used are in accordance with industry standards for strength and durability. To
meet the intent of the code in terms of fire resistance, health, and safety the attached map of
acceptable structure locations has been developed. This map assures that the structure maintains the
appropriate setback distances in accordance with the OSSC,The City of Hubbard, and Marion County. In
order to assure these distances are met,the setbacks were taken as the maximum required setback of
30'-0"from existing buildings or property lines provided by any particular code. In addition the structure
may not be moved within 50 feet of the proposed fuel tank location per the Oregon State Fire Marshall
motor vehicle fuel storage and dispensing guidelines. In order to maintain that the structure is kept
within the approved area,a durable copy of the attached map is to be permanently affixed to the
moveable structure. The structure shall be attached to concrete blocks at all times as shown in the
drawing and calculations for the movable structure provided by this office.
