Marion County

OREGON
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
DEPAR. TMENT

21, 1992

ADRIAN @ JANET ~MERY
P.O. BOX 439
AUMSVILLE, OREGON 97342

SUBJECT:

EXISTING SEPTIC SYSTEM REVIEW FOR NEW CONNECTION
T.10S., R.5E., SECTION 01. SITE NUMBER 92-1760
130 LAKECREST DRIVE. DETROIT, OREGON 97342

I stopped by this property 5/18/92 to check for conflicts
between septic systems and the proposed two bedroom
residence. My investigation found several conditions that
will prevent us from considering your application as
submitted_ Two conditionm are the ~o~t important.

First, the new driveway is sited directly over the exist-
ing drainfield as dimplayed by your plot plan. Also, soil
conditions have been modified by cutting and filling in
that same area. This is a violation to current rules
pertaining to On-site subsurface sewage disposal in that
the soil within the area of the operating and replacement
d~ainfield sites must be maintained in the natural undis-
turbed condition. Second, Your propoged house site does
not meet the minimum twenty-fiv~ feet separation distance
from the upslope drainfield. As the landform drops off
sharply just below the existing utility shed and p~Opo~ed
house mite, there does not appear to be an alternate
location for the drainfields.

Let me know if you have a different
Call, if you have any questions. I
office between 8 and 10 AM.

LEE A. GRIMES
SOIL SCIENTIST

plan to consider.
am usually in the

Senator Building - 220 High Street NE .......
