As a result of that <br />investigation, it has been determined tha~ the site specified O~ your a~ylvlica- <br />tics do~s not qualify for a standard s~ptic aystem or any o~ tbs alternative <br />systems. The conditions on the site do sot meet the minimum requiremente of <br />the Department of Environmental Quality On-Site Sewage Disposal Rules. ~hese <br />r~les a~e ~p~cified in Oregon Ad~inis~rative Rules, Chapter 340, Division 71, <br />Sections 100 through 600, Consequently, this site must be denied. <br /> <br />The principal reason~ for denial O~ this ~ite are related to parcel si~e and <br />setbacks. The following paragraphs outline th~ specific reasons for this <br />denial. <br /> <br />PARCEL ~IZE AND SETBACKS= <br /> There is insufficient area on the property for installation of an <br /> approved on-site septic system which will meet th~ setbacks as <br /> required in th~ D.E.Q. rules. The setbacks which are of particular <br /> concern are circled on the at~ached sheet. ~ach lot or parcel m~st <br /> have sufficient usable area available to accoramodate an initial <br /> and replacement septic system. <br /> <br />It should be noted that this study Was done only in the area proposed on your <br />application for on-site sewage disDOsalo Within the boundaries of your proper- <br />ty, it is possible that soil conditions in a different area of thc pro~rty <br />may be different than those examined is the existin~ tes~ pits. If you feel <br />that b~tter soil conditions may exist in another area oi ~he property, <br />ad~iuional test pit~ will be insetted with no additional charge. ~repace and <br /> <br />this offic~ of your re,es= in writing and wi=his ninety (90) days of the <br />initial site evaluation. <br /> <br /> We can re-consider yoor prc~sal if the two tax lots are combimed into a <br />single tax lot~ Until that is completed we must assume that th~ proposed <br />drainfield line~ would need to meet a ten feet minimum ~etback from property <br />lin~ a~ currently required by state ~ules ~ertaining tO on-~ite subsur~a~ <br />dis~sal syst~s. <br /> <br />If you disagree with this evaluation and elect not to dig additional test <br />holes, you may appeal to 5.E.Q.
