AU~SVILLE, ORE. 97352 <br /> <br />An evaluation has been made e~ the above described property proposed for <br />installation of an on-site sewage disposal system. As a result of that <br />investigation, it ha~ been dete~mine~ that the Site s~cified on your applica- <br />tion does not qualify for a standard septic system o~ any of the alternative <br />~ystems. The conditions on the site do not meet the minimum requirement5 cf <br />the Department of Envlron~ental Quality 0~-site sewage Disposal Rules. TheSe <br />rules are specified in Oregon Administrative Rules, Chapter 340, Division 71, <br /> <br />The p~inoipal reasons for de~iel of this site ar~ re~ated to shallow SeasOnal <br />water tables. The following paragraphs outline the specific reasons for this <br />denial. <br /> <br />WA~ER TABLES= <br /> 1. A water table, as indicated by conditions associated with Satura~ <br /> tion, was observed on the property as follows: <br /> a. Evidence of a ~e.a~onal ~efmanen~ wate~ tab~ was observed at <br /> 26~o 3~0 ineb~~ below the groun~ surface. These measurements <br /> were to the depth of the soil mottling o~ ~o ~he actual <br /> depth of an Observed water table. <br /> 2. The above conditions do not meet the minimum D.E.Q. rules pertain- <br /> ing to standard and alte~native sewage systems. The minimum <br /> reguirements are listed below: <br /> a. A per~anent groundwater ~abl~ cannot be less than 72 inches <br /> b~low the ground surface fo= installation of a ~tan~ard <br /> septic system or ~6 in, es .for installation of any cf the <br /> alternative systems. <br /> <br />It ehould be n~ted that this study was done only in the area p~oposcd on your <br />application for on-sit~ sewage ~ispo~al. Within the boundaries of your proper- <br />ty, it is possible =hat soil conditions in a different area of the property <br />may be different than those examined in the existing test pits. ~f you <br />that better soil conditions may exist in another area of the property, <br />additional test pits will be insp~oted with no additional Charge. Prepare and <br />submit a ~eW site plas showing the new area proposed for evaluation. Notify <br />this office of your request in writing and within ninety (90; days of th~ <br />initial ~ite evaluation. <br /> <br /> <br />
